Vier Kinder machen auf ihrem Heimatplaneten eine mysteriöse Entdeckung, die dazu führt, dass sie sich in einer seltsamen und gefährlichen Galaxie verirren. Jude Law in „Skeleton Crew“ und noch mehr Sterne aus einer weit, weit entfernten Galaxie. Der holografische Zirkus, der Neels junge Geschwister unterhält, ist derselbe, den Chewbaccas Familie in dem berüchtigten „Star Wars Holiday Special“ (1978) gesehen hat.
Und das ist in Ordnung, denn Star Wars war oft kinderfreundlich und warum sollte es keine Kindersendung mit einem Star Wars-Thema geben? Aber es ist keine Sendung über Kinder, die für Erwachsene geeignet ist, wie Stranger Things oder Paper Girls. Es ist eher eine Sendung, die speziell darauf ausgelegt ist, Zehnjährige anzusprechen und sonst niemanden.
Es sind Vororte wie im Star Wars-Universum, aber wenn man die Roboter und Aliens weglässt, könnte es der Ort sein, an dem ich aufgewachsen bin. Das war also für ein oder zwei Augenblicke eine interessante Wendung. Leider sind diese Vororte von langweiligen Charakteren mit uninteressanten Problemen bevölkert.
Und ja, das ist alles auf den großen Moment am Ende der ersten Folge vorbereitet, aber ich war von dieser ersten Folge so gelangweilt, dass ich nach der Hälfte einfach angefangen habe, vorwärts zu springen, und selbst die Schlussaktion schien einfach nur – na ja. Vielleicht. Aber ich denke, wenn die erste Folge einer Serie so langweilig ist, dass ich sie nicht durchstehen kann, wird sie wahrscheinlich nicht viel besser in absehbarer Zeit.
Das ist also alles, was ich mir angesehen habe. „Hundert Jahre Einsamkeit“ ist eine der größten TV- und Streaming-Premieren dieses Monats.
